Original Fett built in 2018 (left); 'Book of Boba Fett' version (right)
Last Updated: March 28, 2022 ...
After watching the 'Book of Boba Fett', I decided to convert a kit for the original Boba Fett (from 'Return of the Jedi') to this new version of the character.
Note: This conversion is a fairly good representation of the new version of Boba Fett, but admittedly is not a 100% accurate version of the character as seen on the series. For example, the pistol and holster are not 100% accurate nor to scale; the pouches on the belt were reused from the original kit so are a bit different; etc.
The photo above shows my use of 'Green Stuff' epoxy putty ...
to make the folds of the tunic around the shoulders and protruding from the neck area;
to fill the seams on the sides where I had split them and widened them.
The photos above shows my use of 'Green Stuff' epoxy putty to patch the thighs where I cut the pouches away; and to form the upper parts of his boots.
I then used 'Milliput' epoxy putty to make everything else, and also to fill where I carved away the cod piece and lower ropes. The Milliput is better for smaller objects which have finer details.
Note that for the holster, I reused one of the thigh pouches.
Below are photos of the original version, and the completed new version.
In the new series, it looks like now that Boba retrieved his armor, jetpack and rifle, that he repainted and cleaned them up. So I reflected that in this model. I did put in some of the scratches and dings that I see in the series on the armor, shoulder pads, knee pads, helmet and forearm gauntlets.
