Dangerous Divas Sketchafex Gallery

Marvel: Dangerous Divas themed pages consisting mainly of sketchafexes from RA's MDD release. Initially I was not going to collect much from this release since I was expecting mostly "static character" sketches,. I wanted to continue to collect what I did with Marvel 70th, in that I was going to find sketches that told the "History of Marvel Comics", and merge those into that Gallery. I did find some of the Martineck "puzzles" that were "history-making" .
However since I had not collected many Tony Perna sketches, I decided to make a page of his; as usual, I got carried away .
For this web site, I have found it better to scan the entire 9-pocket (a.k.a. page), rather than to put each sketch up as an individual scan. Besides for those of you who know me, I am very obsessive about how my pages are arranged .
Currently I have 4 "full" pages of RA's Dangerous Divas sketchafexes. Below, I give a brief summary of what is in each page, just to the right of the thumbnail for that page.

Page 1: Miscellaneous Babes
Here are some of the Divas sketches that "caught my eye" early-on :
- Buddy Prince - AOA Jean Grey
- Buddy Prince - Kitty vs. Nimrod
- Buddy Prince - Songbird
- Joe St. Pierre - Phoenix vs. Firelord.
This is #3 of 15 of his 'Fate of the Phoenix' series.
- Buddy Prince - Lady Octopus
- John Czop - Sue Storm
- Roy Cover - Heroes for Hire (all-female version)
- Bill Pulkovski - Enchantress
- Lui Antonio - Scarlet Witch
To be honest I would Trade any of the sketches from this page for other sketches that I would be "more interested in" .

Page 2: More Miscellaneous Babes
Here are more Divas sketches that "caught my eye", but these fit more into the recent theme I have been collecting ... sketches that tell something about "The History of Marvel Comics".
- John Czop - his sketches were "Scarce" for MDD so I was happy to be able to find 3 more that I liked
- Jon Hughes - X-Men cover recreations. I was very pleased to be able to find at least 6 of these !!

Page 4: Tony Perna's Avenegrs Babes
This page shows 9 of the Avengers babes that Perna drew, though I guess the one in slot 7 is actually supposed to be Mystique (morphing into Warbird ?).

Page 5: Martineck - Miscellaneous
Note: This page is cloned from M70 Gallery Page 4a. I wanted to show the two primo MDD Martineck 2-panels in this gallery.
Since I had an "extra" M70 Martineck, and since I like some of the MDD Puzzles ... I prefer to call them two-panels ... I decided to make this page . In November 2012, I was able to complete the page by adding 3 "timeline" Martineck's from Marvel's Greatest Heroes.
Here is my result:
- Man-Killer & Titania vs. Spider-Man, She-Hulk and Thing(?)
- Avengers #214
- Sue Storm, Lilandra and Galactus, from 'The Trial of Galactus'
- 1985 Secret Wars 2
- 1975 Beast joins Avengers
- 1976 Moondragon joins Avengers
- 1980 Jarvis cleans-up mansion after attack by Masters of Evil

Page 6: Martineck: Landscape-oriented
Note: This page is cloned from M70 Gallery Page 4b. I wanted to show the two primo MDD Martineck 2-panels in this gallery.
Those who know me knows that I don't like to mix portrait-oriented (p-o) sketches with landscape-oriented (l-o) sketches in my pages. This causes me to pass on acquiring some nice sketches . But I like the Martineck's M70 sketches, and then some of the MDD Puzzles so much, that I decided to try to combine them into an 8-pocket page .
Here is my result:
- 1963 Avengers team (per issue #1)
- 1964 Masters of Evil (as introduced in Avengers #6)
- 1983 New Mutants #1
- 1993 Thunderstrike & US Agent
- Heroes for Hire (all-female version)
- Red She-Hulk vs Green She-Hulk
